so I doubt there's very many if any younger guys who even know what old country is, but i would like to possibly get a group together and play a modern spin on 50's and 60's country like Jimmy Dean, Hank Snow, Roger Miller, Hank Sr, Cash, and other legends from the old days. I'm a singer, and i can play the harmonica pretty well. So if you dig these old country tunes and can really dig on guitar, banjo, piano, or any other country instrument, drop me a line.
If you think that whats on the radio is country, don't bother replying.

that room sucks......too loud....and if you book a show there you can't start setting up until 9. then they expect you to play at 10. what kinda shit is that, any respectfull band needs at least two hours to set up a full pa soundcheck and have lights ready . I mean dont you need a little time just in case? thats not cool.. As for playing for the door. That is somewhat normal, if you cant pull the people why do you deserve a set rate. I mean thats why bars go out of business? You have to bring the people so the bar can make money. We are all in it to be successful. I've only seen a handful of bands actually do well there. but these guys don't play in town often.Makes sense to me, I wouldnt want to see a band a month after I saw them before. I think any place thats is gonna charge a cove should make the band play for the door. If you want a set rate, charge no cover and take $300 plus a % of bar sales if your band does good.you will make money...this has worked the best for clubs I have worked with in the past....remember only your friends will pay to see you if you dont suck, well actually they want to be put on the guest list. if you can't pull people you are doing something wrong. play for $300 with a % of bar sales and charge no cover....thats what these clubs need to do......once you build up your fan base start charging a cover......

I have played there and know some people who worked there-no effective management- Could be a killer music venue if someone new what they were doing-They expect a band to play for the door, provide there own PA and soundman and give a cut to the house? It's like they think they were doing you a favor letting you play there. Hopefully someone with some business sense and music savvy will reopen it

Calling All Bands,

Ok so here's the deal, I'm looking for a band to play for charity. I know it's not going to be easy but I figured there has to be at least one bands with a good heart. Once a year every year I hold an event (Cliff-Fest) that raises food for a local food bank. Basically friends, family & whoever come over to my house & camp out for the weekend, thats right I said camp. I have to say it can get prettycold but we're doing it for people who are less fortunate than we are. Cliff-Fest is always held the weekend before Thanksgiving & all food collected is donated prior to Thanksgiving. last year we raised enough food to feed 177 families. We don't care when you play, just looking for a band or bands to come and play. Below are pictures to prove authenticity.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

I'm looking for people to form a band with. I'm specifically looking for the rock n roll basics like guitar, pocket drums, and bass, but would be open to other instruments, especially say, a keyboardist. I want to do a mix of originals and covers (meaning interpretations of songs and not regurgitations of them). I am aiming at a blues rock feel, incorporating straight rock n roll and possibly other influences as well. For example, I am hoping to do some of The Who, some Zep, Aerosmith, Bon Scott ACDC, Rolling Stones, Black Keys, White Stripes, Cream, maybe some Paul Butterfield or Humble Pie.
I myself have been singing for years in church, school choir, and a few different bands. I have a good range from bass to falsetto and a strong baritone in between. I understand the importance of getting an audience pumped up, and have no problem on stage, and have literally grown up on old rock n roll from the 50's to now and try to listen to as many bands and genres as to not back myself into a muscial corner. I'm laid back and enjoy sitting back and knocking down a few brews with other musician friends.
If this sounds like your kinda gig, drop me a line.

Wasnt long ago someone posted Kefi's was closing and the rants went on-- now it looks like it may be true- story on the frontline of Starnews
Kefi restaurant may be squeezed into closure by credit crunch

Published: Friday, November 6, 2009 at 7:16 p.m.
Last Modified: Friday, November 6, 2009 at 7:16 p.m.
The popular Kefi restaurant in Wilmington says it may close because it is unable to get financing.

The restaurant is on Eastwood Road at the approach to Wrightsville Beach, and is across the street from Crocker’s Marine, which closed last week because of the bad economy.

In an open letter to friends and customers online, Andrews said that despite being current on all loans, its lender had “chosen not to renew certain notes that pertain to Kefi. The want to ‘cut their losses’ and they feel we’re not worth investing in.

They’ve only given us 45 days to secure funds,” the letter continued. “Short of a miracle, of which we believe in, it’s almost impossible. Therefore at the end of November we will be forced to close for good.”

Several popular restaurants have closed in the Wilmington area amid the worst recession since the Great Depression, many of them citing changing customer habits – spending less or eating out less.

The Andrews family has owned Kefi for 18 years. The restaurant opened in 1981.

Hi Everyone,

The Liquid Room 23 Market Street is currently accepting submissions for a new Wilmington Unplugged Series every Tuesday beginning November 17th. Looking for 2-5 piece acoustic acts (light drum kits/jazz kits will be permitted). Please submit your genre, samples of your music, venues played, and/or myspace/reverbnation links to the reply address above.

Depending on level of inquiries, we hope to have different genres perform on different nights so all are welcome to submit (blues, jazz, fusion, hip-hop, country, etc.). It will be a plug and play night, so no systems will be required. Just amps and your instruments.

Best of luck and we look forward to hearing from the Wilmington music scene. Pay will be negotiated fairly.

Our brother and one of FMF's founding members Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Brad Lee was deployed to Afghanistan on Nov 4th. We all wish him a safe return along with all the troops serving in the war.

Go kick some ass Gunny!

We are currently looking for a guitar player to fill in for Brad while he is kicking ass over in Afghanistan. Brad is a founding member of this band and will be rejoining us as soon as he is back. He will be gone for 6 to 10 months.

When we learned about Brad's deployment a few months ago we immediately began production on our first EP, entitled Round 0.5. The entire production was done by us and we finished on Nov 2, just 2 days before Brad left. Talk about cutting it close!

We were fortunate enough to play a few shows before he left and I have to say, I am floored at the reception we got. FMF is off to a great start and we want to keep the ball rolling. We have a lot of interest from venues in the region and as soon as we get a new guitar player up to speed we are ready to immediately begin playing shows again.

So here's what we need:

Someone who can play the music. It isn't hard, trust me. I suck and I can play it! Brad and I share some licks and other times we play off each other. If you listen to the recordings with headphones, Brad's licks are panned hard left. I will probably end up playing his solos on Glass and Embers, which is not yet released, but all that can be worked out later.

Someone with a great personality. If you are a dick or do not work well with others please move on. The only asshole allowed in this band is me! Each and every member in this band is also one of my best friends and I absolutely will not allow anyone in that might cause drama or otherwise take away from the fun we have.

Someone with decent gear. I play a Krank Krankenstein. If you show up with a Fender 2x10 you simply will not be heard, and that is a problem. Obviously we can work around gear issues if you are cool, just ask Iliad and his Hartke! But I prefer if you had some decent gear.

That's about it. We play in drop C tuning, except Iliad, who plays a 5 string bass in standard tuning, *boggle* but hey, it works! We have something like 9 originals last time I checked, but that number changes constantly.

Here's what we will be doing with you in the band:

Playing shows! As many as we can get.

Working on a few cover tunes. We spent so much time writing originals we never got around to learning any covers. We want to record an off-genre cover to add to our EP as well as a few tunes just to lengthen our set.

We may work on new material. If we do you are welcome to help us write and we will include you in the credits. If by some huge fucking miracle we ever get signed we will be sure any contributions made by you get taken care of and royalties paid. But hey, I am dreaming big here!

The shitty business stuff:

Money. We don't make a lot of it! We are all in this because we love to play music. I would love to make some money cause I am broke as fuck and I need some cash to pay for hookers and blow, but I still love playing and will always play a show, regardless of pay. Any money made by the band will be split between the 5 of us, so yes, this could possibly be a paying gig. However, if you are looking into this because you need to make money I suggest you join some cover band that plays shitty beach music to retirees, cause those are the only gigs around here that pay decent.

We could argue about this all day long, just browse the musicians section on Wilmington Craigslist and join the drama, but here is our stance on money:

Fuck it! FMF will always play a show, regardless of pay, and if that lowers the quality of the music scene in Wilmington, if that allows venues to keep paying bands low wages, we don't give a fuck! We are in this to have fun above all else and playing in front of people is what we live for!

Contact Info:

OK, so if you read all that bullshit and are still with me, here's what you do. Message us on MySpace if you have it. http://www.myspace.com/fiftymanfight If not, you can email us at fiftymanfight@gmail.com and if all else fails, you can call me at 910-665-2071.

About us:

We started this thing back in May of 2008, I think. I had written and recorded something like 9 originals that will never ever be heard by anyone cause they suck and I was looking to put a band together around that. I hooked up with Gary Goddamn Lloyd, formerly of Eight Foot Stride, and our band was born. I wanted to write material that sounded like old school thrash metal meets Guns N Roses. At the time I wasn't into super heavy drop tuning stuff, so when Gary invited Brad Lee, formerly of Soulbind, Slave Machine, Devilution and a million other bands to join us and he showed up playing in drop C, I was a little bummed.

I got the hell over it though because we immediately clicked and started writing some bad ass music. The three of us wrote all the music that would eventually be on our first EP in a matter of months. We went through a few singers and never could find a bass player. In May of 2009 we got a response from a pretty boy surfer dude named Iliad that wanted to play bass for us. He showed up to practice with a 1970's bass head and a Hartke cab, playing a 5 string bass that he refused to tune to C. Yeah, I had my doubts. As soon as we played the first song I was sold. Iliad is an amazing musician and added an element to our music I never would have dreamed of.

Enter Ezra. He and I go way back. I was living with one of my best friends of 15 years or so and she was dating Ezra, so eventually he moved in with us. They guy quickly became one of my best friends. Ezra is also the bass player and singer for the Jacksonville band Southern Sub Culture, so I was not sure he would want to sing for a second band. I asked him and thankfully he said yes! Ezra was the final and perhaps biggest addition to the band. He brings a vocal talent and stage presence that is absolutely phenomenal.

We went through several names. Amongst the Chaos, A Moment Lost, Tank Ballet (seriously Gary? Tank Ballet?). No one liked my suggestions, Clitty Litter and Queer Bitch, so finally we all agreed on Fifty Man Fight, which I think is bad fucking ass!

So I hope you read all that. There will be a quiz on the history of the band at the first audition! Nah, kidding.

Join the fight!

James

I have been singing for years, have sung before audiences and want to get together with others to do material such as Dan Fogelberg, The Doobie Bros (What Were One Vices is a favorite). Jackson Browne (my top favorite singer/songwriter). Little River Band, Beatles ballads, The Moddy Blues, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan (yep, I can do some of his material), The Boss (an occasional ballad) and the list goes on. I am a local fireman/body builder and am very people friendly, energetic on a stage and I sing to my co-workers all the time. I want to get together with some local folk and have a good time singing away . I specialize in pouring my soul into songs that had meaning from the 60s, 70s and 80s. My vocal range is from baritone to tenor and I do one hell of a falsetto. I love black artists too such as Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye and this soon to be 50 white boy can throw down. :-)

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE WHO PLAYS THE BLUES! (FORMING A BAND) (Wilmington, NC)

I am a 20 year old guitarist. My next door neighbor (apartments) also plays guitar/bass and even has recording equipment that we use to save our work. I play in the style of Jimi Hendrix because he is god. However, my playing is based off of other artists as well, such as SRV, John Mayer, Clapton, Santana, and of course old school blues like T-Bone Walker, Muddy Waters, BB King, Albert King, and Hubert Sumlin.

If you don't know who these people are, I'm probably not the jam partner for you. I am looking for someone to jam with and possibly FORM A BAND WITH someone who truly lives, breathes, and enjoys true blues. Slow blues, fast blues, major blues, minor blues, any kind of blues, even jazzy blues.

I play all day everyday only taking breaks long enough to go to class, eat, and sleep. Literally, I play guitar all day everyday. I am looking for someone else who's love for music runs as deep as mine. I'm 420 friendly so "enlightened" jamming is always welcomed but not required.

I'd really like to meet:
- Drummer (who has equipment)
- Bassist
- Keyboardist
- Other guitarists

I'm looking for someone who's good with rhythm. I can play a lot of funky interludes but keep the rhythm and I'm looking for the same in all band mates. While jamming I like to highlight each instrument. For instance, all instruments will play a similar melody/rhythm and one at a time, each instrument can go off into a solo. If you're not experienced enough to "solo" you don't have to, I just like being able to take a break sometimes during the jam as the lead guitarists. I'm not into heavy shredding or stuff like that, so if you're looking to melt your face off, this isn't the place for you.

Also, if anyone wanted to learn a little guitar on the side, I can teach you anything from chord strumming to intense Hendrix soloing. I have a variety of guitars ranging from Stratocasters, Les Pauls, Acoustics, and Hollowbodys. I have this equipment at my apartment now:
Line 6 30w Combo Amp
Crate 190w Half Stack 4x12
Korg ToneWorks AX3000G Effects/Processing board (everything from wah pedal, to distortion, to echo, to reverb, basically every effect you could ever dream of)
1991 Fender Stratocaster (white on maple neck)
2002 Fender Stratocaster (natural ash on maple neck)
1997 Les Paul (tobacco sunburst)
2001 Epiphone AJ Acoustic
2003 Gretsch Hollowbody

Jam partners are welcome to use any of my guitars/equipment and I'm looking for someone who is also willing to share equipment if needed.

I know this is a lot to ask of someone, but anyone who is serious about forming a real band should be picky enough to know who they are musically compatible with. So if this sounds like you (or if you actually read everything and made it this far!) then shoot me an email and I'll get back to you with my cell phone number so we can set up a jam session and see where things go from there.

I play bass and I usually play a mixture of Between the buried and me, Tool, Meshuggah, and Inflames but lately I have been wanting to play something heavier. Something along the lines of Veil of Maya and Animosity. Something heavy and random. Although I listen to all music, I mean from jazz to classical to metal to techno, I have just really wanted to find a band or start a band playing something hardcore. Not that I am looking to get big, just for fun and to play some shows around town and then who knows from there. Like I said I have never really written any music like this so i am leaning little by little. So anyone who needs a bass player I can play anything you give me, or give me a little time and ill have something new made, or anyone looking to start a band like this is fine as well. I do work a lot but am willing to practice after work and the two days off a week I have. I am currently playing a six string ibanez sr506 and a four string spector, not sure what model. The band I was in before this was experimental so im up for anything. I just really miss playing live and don't know to many people up here who play so anyone interested let me know. Email me or call or text at 910-770-6016.

BTW i do own a drum set as well so if theres a drummer that just does not have a set at the moment thats not a issue

I am looking for a talented singer to start a project geared towards something commercial. No dreams of stardom here but interested in making good music. If you play an instrument that would be prefered but not required. Male or female makes no difference just be talented. Previous performing experience would be great but not required either. I am wondering if there is anyone who is without tons of experience but who would like to test the waters a little to see what happens. If you have been playing in Wilmington with the usual bar repertoire, you are probably not what I'm looking for. No offense but I am just trying to find something new. I never post here and could care less about all the drama. If you are a talented singer I would like to hear from you.

seeking bass player & male vocalist (Wilmington NC)

We are currently putting a band together. We are half way ther just need a bass player and a male vocalist. We are seeking someone that will commit to the band and have the same attitude we have towards it. Our goal is to practice thru the winter with the intention of playing out in the spring. Depending on how things go maybe sooner. Looking for someone to practice on weekends and possibly thru the week here and there. Again it depends on how the progress goes. I would say practice together on the weekends and on your own thru the week... (commitment)...We are looking to play mostly southern rock / 70's era rock but there will also be some variety of whats popular at the time. The usual "sing along songs" will have to be in there as well. Maybe some blues, maybe some country. After we have all the pieces of the puzzle together we can be more detailes on our playlist. To give an idea of what kind of music we want to play here a few:

Little Feet I hate to lose your love
Lynch Mob Tangled in the web
Tie your mother down
Mothers Finest Mickeys Monkey
Piece of that rock
Thank you for the love
Lyle Lovvitt Why I don't know
An exceptable level of exctasy
Delbert McClinton Monkey around
To much stuff
Commitments Mustang Sally
Bad English Best of what I got.
Toto Pamela

These are a few but hopefully enough to give you an idea of the direction we want to go. You will need to have your own equipment that is suitable for playing out. A 100 watt practice amp won't get the job done.

Folk Project.....Interested? (Jacksonville)

Hi. My name is Jared and I'm working on a folk project right now. I have an idea of how I want it to sound, now I just need the musicians to help me pull it off. If you are interested in joining in on a project like this, these are the following positions and requirements for the positions that are available.

Bass player: must have own gear, doesn't have to be too fancy considering this is acoustic based music. You need to be able to play jazz/funk/gospel, and able tonfond a happy medium between all three. Upright bass would be a plus but not required.

Percussionist: I'm not necessarily looking for a drummer but that would be a plus. I'd like a percussionist that plays alot of authentic drums from different countries ie jimbei, congas, Indian hand drum, etc. The only thing from typical drum set I would think would be good for this is bass drum, snare, hat, and brushes for it. I know sounds like alot, but it's really nothing if you think about it.

Banjo: I've never played with a banjo player before but I think it would be fantastic to try, and be even better added to the music ive been writing. Someone who's got enough experience to shred on it would be preferred. Someone with enough experience to keep up is required.

Celloist: once again, I've never played with a celloist before but I think it would be great for these tunes, besides I think cello and acoustic guitar sound insane together.

Electric guitarist: you MUST be able to play jazz an blues on this thing. Although this will not be a dominant piece of the music it is vital as an additive to the music.

Female vocalist: alright ladies, if you have the ability to sing and not just carry a tune, this is for you. Someone who can play an instrument and writes on he own as well would be preferred. Piano or acoustic or both would be what I have in mind.

Organist: this part is a very vital piece of the sound that I'm trying to accomplish here. The ability to play gospel old an new is required for this along with having your own portable organ to play for shows and practice.

I know this may sound like alot but it's specifically what I'm looking for to accomplish the sound I want. I have a place to practice so no worries there. It's a three room studio downtown and I do have speakers and a pa, but I wanna do straight acoustic jams before we move there. I have the ability to record the music as well. Another thing I want to accomplish is having a solo album for everyone in the group that can be played with this group that way we play originals from everyone.

The influences behind this are: Caedmons Call(although this is not going to be a faith based group, this band is the ideal model for what I've got in mind set up and performance wise. Check em out), Amos Lee, City and Colour, James Taylor, Jack Johnson, old time blues/gospel, Sam and Ruby, and Bob Marley. If you are interested please respond to this asap, I'd really like to get this thing up and rolling. You can email me from here or just make a shout or relay a txt to my cell at seven six five three nine eight two three eight five. I'd prefer to be reached there for faster response. Thanks, and hope this is explained pretty well.

I agree with what's-his-name (hickup) All the humor on this site is disgusting. This site is supposed to be dead serious at all times. Hallucinogenic fools who see schizophrenic trolls coming after them in their sleep, and fornicating leprechauns, why, first of all, it's a known medical fact that leprechauns do not have reproductive organs, they reproduce using magic fairy dust. So who gives a shit if they have a great rock band and they steal our women? What the hell are they going to do? Sprinkle magic fairy dust all over them? That doesn't work to impregnate human females. So they might grab their boobies or something. Big deal. Ever been to Mardi Gras? who is this asshole (hickup) talking about a troll feeding himelf? Who do you think feeds trolls, asshole? Do you think a troll can hire somebody to feed him? Yeah, that'll be the same day I hire Angelina Jolie to j--k my weenie. Music is very serious, and Wilmington musicians are very serious, about their massive drug intake, their alcoholism (hickup) and writing great posts that slam other musicians on this site. That's what it's all about. If you can't play worth a shit, slam other musicians to make yourself feel better. There are great musicians in Wilmington, and I know both of them. I'm joining the leprechauns. I'll be the tallest guy in the band, like a giant. I can do it with all the women, 'cause I'm a human. No fairy dust bullshit for me. And no feeding the trolls, either. I did that to put myself through college. That's a place where high school graduates (you know, like, people from other states) go to study stuff, like engineering, or music. Look it up in the dictionary, next time you're at Barnes & Noble getting a latte. It's a big thick book with words and definitions in it. Or, you could just buy a bass. Only 4 strings, how hard can it be?

Anyone interested in starting an epic space/shoegaze/groove rock style band? I have looked for people many times over and decided to give one last shout and see what happens.

Used to be in many bands, toured/signed and all that jazz, but just looking to write some killer tunes and play some rockin' shows around town. Make some recordings, have a blast, and just see where things go.

I mainly play drums, but also sing and do a bit of noodling on bass, guitar, keyboards, etc. Looking for other minds to come in and start creating some cool songs and seeing what we can accomplish. Lot's of Delay, loops, & just rockin' craziness with some groove & soul maybe.

Looking for something in the vein of the following bands. Hum, The Lost Chorus, Dredg, Elliott, Codeseven, Telescreen, U2, Sense Field, Sunny Day Real Estate and some touches of new stuff like John Mark McMillan, Pete Yorn, Kings Of Leon, Silversun Pickups, etc. I could go on and on, but hopefully this will give you the feel. Just really want to play some cool stuff again.

I am a christian and just looking for some positive people that love music and love creating an atmosphere with it. Hit me up if you are interested! I would love to chat with you! Take care and thanks for reading.

Plus, you shouldn't make the mistake of thinking that the idiots that write many of these disgusting posts are representative of the mature and serious musicians that thrive in this community. The streets of Wilmington, Nashville, and every town and city in this country are ripe with fools. The same locations are also blessed with fine and respectable musicians. You have to take responsibility for discerning that fact and ignoring the fools. Why do you think we have so many people on probation and in jails and prisons. The sad fact is that we are surrounded by leaches trying to beat the system, trying make an impression with their negativity, and stirring something up just to fead their own inabilities. They have no clue how to be positive, professional, make any kind of societal contribution. They know who they are and they sadly think that the rest of us don't. Hang in there.

We want to have fun but our main goal is to become a good sounding talented band. If you are not willing to look at this as a second job then you may not be the one. Our sound is mostly southern rock, 70's rock, and some jazz type music as well. Of course you have to include some of the popular sing along bar songs. We currently have a drummer, 2 guitarist, and a keyboard player. If your interested and you think this may be what your looking for please reply. We can arrange a time to meet and maybe try and play a little bit. Hope to hear from you soon.

I have decided (only because I am a generous, giving person) to become the manager for the Bass at Last band. I am 60 years old so can cover many genres of music for you guys --- who, by the way, sound like some of the most talented musicians on the East Coast. I am fairly new at being a manager, but I do know, without a doubt, that I have the capability to make Sharon Osborne look like a newbie ---- Brian Epstein (may he rest in peace) eat your frickin' heart out!!! Picture it --- HEADLINES IN ROLLING STONE - "BASS AT LAST" THUNDERS ACROSS THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES!! Rocking and rolling across the plains. Yes, stick with me and I will take you to the top. Grammies - move over. MTV stand in line (don't call us, we'll call you)....

I have such wonderful ideas dancing in my super-manager brain as I write this. Costumes are a must --- matching, of course. I already have a choreographer in mind for your dance routines. Picture it --- canary yellow silk shirts, skin tight alligator pants and white go-go boots from the 60's as you belt out a medley of Van Halen, Bobby Vinton and Little Eva. Damn!! I am getting all misty eyed at the portrait in my mind.

Ok, I just send an email to Ronnie James Dio to let him know we are available to open for him on his Heaven and Hell tour. I found the address on a fan mail website. I am sure he will call back soon. All the venues in Wilmington, Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte will be begging me by this weekend to have Bass at Last at their establishment.

Being a manager has to be one of the easiest jobs in the world and I am sure the bars and venues are always so happy to hear us call. And, I'm sure they always, always return your calls and messages in a timely fashion. Piece of cake if you ask me.

So, fellows (and ladies if appropriate) your worries are now over. I am stepping in to make your life a treasure trove of wealth. Better call the Brink's truck to accompany you home after our first gig. So find some more strings for your weapon of choice, make those ivories sparkle and rev up the kazoo --- Mama Manager is here..

No, that wasn't a racist remark about the piano. Think of the song: Ebony and Ivory, by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder: "Ebony and Ivory, live together in perfect harmony, side by side on my piano keyboard" etc. except in Louisiana, where people of different races can't get married, because of the highly superior intellect of the red-neck hillbilly cracker judge. Pianos there only have white keys on them. You didn't tell me your age, you must be from 26 to 28 to fit into my well thought out band plan. If you are too young you won't know any Van Halen songs. Van Halen and Ozzie are two super brand new bands that are popular in Wilmington.. You already know that if you came through the worm hole into the time warp. If you are over 28, then you are a pervert who only wants to look at my ass on stage. I know these things, 'cause I have smart brains. The same goes for you, Squire Strat guy. Me and my new piano player prefer that you have a full Marshall stack, (or two) but if you are really good maybe we can work it out.
Just so you guys don't start hollerin' out letters at me onstage. I hate that. Or numbers, like: 1-4-5. If I wanted to learn readin' writin' or arithmetic, I'd go back to grade school.
I already did that up to 8th grade, now I know everything. It's time to get drunk, do lots of drugs, and pick up chicks, 'cause I'm a professional Wilmington musician now.

I am only missing a few strings but have pro gear like a marshal half stack because we are going to play an areana or even luckys. I play in drop tunings because root chords and scales are for chumps..
I am the best guitar player in town, if you doubt me then you are a hater!!

Bass at Last.... you seem like the kind of player I'm interested in jamming with. I just bought a keyboard last month, but I've been taking lessons off of some YouTube videos. I understand what you mean about 4 strings on a bass. Imagine having 88 keys and only 10 fingers. I've decided to only play the black ones because their aren't as many of them. (I hope that isn't racist?)

Let's get this band together. I'm really really good now, and would like an extra cut of pay to compensate for my talent.

Bass At Last

Well, I've finally done it. I bought a bass guitar and an amp yesterday, so now I'm a bass player. I haven't figured out why it has 4 strings, when you can only strum one at a time. Speaking of time, can anybody tell me what drummers mean when they talk about time? The bass has these knobs on top to make the strings tighter. I'm sure I'm the best bass player in Wilmington, so let's get a band together and jam. Only the best players need apply. I like to listen to jazz, screamo, Willie Nelson, Disturbed, Tighten my wig, Cannibal Corpse, and James Taylor. I'm 27, so I prefer players between the age of 26 and 28 only. I don't have a car, so you will have to have a place to rehearse, and you will have to come to my house and pick me up. It feels great to know I'm the best bass player in Wilmington. I heard somebody at the music store talking about "reading music." That's crazy. How can you "read" music? Music comes out of a speaker. It's not like a book or something. You listen to music and then you play along with it, just playing any notes you feel like, regardless of the key or the scales or modes or passing tones or leading tones or any of that bull crap. If you wanna play with me you have to be able to improvise. So hit me up and LET'S ROCK !!!!
