Enhanced Security Professionals / ESP offers two types of professional security courses for all luxury yacht owners, crews, captains and people interested in Maritime Security.

Maritime Security Awareness Training / MSA
Location / Duration: Online / 2hrs
Cost: $225.00 (Visa, MC, Check, Cash)

We offer Maritime Security Awareness to all companies and contractors who must comply with the U.S. Maritime Transportation and Security Act and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. This course is approved by the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Maritime Administration. This course provides knowledge to all facility and vessel personnel with respect to the security of a facility and/or vessel. Upon completion of this course, participants will have met training requirements as defined by 33CFR 104.225 and 105.215, and Parts B13.4 and B18.3 of the ISPS Code.

MSA Course Overview:
Familiarity with relevant provisions of the FSP and VSP.
The meaning and the consequential requirements of the different security levels.
Recognition and detection of weapons, dangerous substances and devices.
Knowledge of the emergency procedures and contingency plans.
Recognition of characteristics and behavioral patterns of persons who are likely to threaten security.
Techniques used to circumvent security measures.

Course Overview:
This course will enable all Captains and Crews who own large personal watercraft cruising the Atlantic & Caribbean learn defensive firearms techniques and tactics. Its principal focus will address repelling pirates/boarders/thieves, and provide gun-fighting room clearing skills if your craft has been boarded. The main weapon for this course is the Tactical Shotgun, however we will also cover the extensive use of semi-auto carbines and pistols during your training.

Food Not Bombs is an all-volunteer global movement that shares free vegetarian/vegan meals as a protest to war and poverty. We collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, bakeries and markets, and local farmers, then prepare community meals which are served for free to anyone who is hungry. The central beliefs of the group are:

If governments and corporations around the world spent as much time and energy on feeding people as they do on war, no one would go hungry.
There is enough food in the world to feed everyone, but too much of it goes to waste needlessly, as a direct result of capitalism and militarism.
Vegan food is both healthy and nonviolent.

Hi,

We are a young unschooling family near the Wilmington area and would like to
know if there are others in the area. We have a 5 1/2 yo son, a 3 1/2 yo
daughter and a 5 month old son. We are interested in finding other families that
we could interact with (somewhat close in ages for the kids)and relate to. I
realize we are not too far into the "schooling" years but now that our 5 yo is
officially kindergarten age there are no other children his age available as
they are now in school(plus we don't live in a heavily kid-populated area anyway
so that further limits our contacts).

Unschoolers seem to be a rare and elusive species so I thought this might help
discover some. ;)
